Wildlife and Nature Photography
I have a deep passion for wildlife and ecology, and spend as much time as possible in wild places. In my work I aim to convey the beauty, as well as the fragility, of the wilderness and creatures we all take for granted. I believe that sensitive photography of the threatened natural world is the key to its survival. Without stunning images to drive us to protect what we are in danger of losing, our landscapes and species will not survive.
There are more wildlife images in my stock photography collection, and further images for sale in the Getty and Photoshot stock libraries. Please contact me if you would like to discuss your particular requirements or commission new work.
If you are interested in learning to take wildlife photographs I am teaching wildlife photography skills in Going Digital Scotland workshops. I regularly take groups of students to Edinburgh’s tropical Insect and Butterfly World, which is fabulous for macro photography (as well as keeping warm in winter), to Edinburgh Zoo and the Highland Wildlife Park in Aviemore, which is a wonderful place for playful polar bears sparring in their pond.
